Had a fun end of bow season, start of rifle season November 7-10 we got a fair amount of snow at our deer camp in the UP. Killed my bow buck on the 12th. By gun season all the snow melted from 40-50° temps. Very unseasonable temps up there. Killed my gun buck on the 15th which is a first for many last years.

Congratulations. Nice buck!

I just punched my tag today (18 Nov) on a nice 9pt.

I located a nice rub line behind my house, so I set up a natural ground blind close to that.

He still went about 70 yards with no functioning heart before curling up in the drainage ditch. Not a drop of blood to follow since there was no exit wound and the bullet stayed in the heart. I knew he was dead around there somewhere. It took me about an hour to find him. I had to pull him out of the drainage ditch with my ATV.

87 yards with y T/C Pro Hunter muzzle loader. Hit him right behind the right shoulder. That rifle has never let me down. 250 gr. T/C Shockwave sabot/bullet and 2 Triple 7 Magnum pellets.

I haven't even hunted in my pop-up blind across the road yet. Plenty of season left and I still have 1 tag.

That's a beauty. Congrats. Gotta love those Southern Michigan Bucks. Buddy of mine has some rubs on his property near DeWit (Clinton county). One is on an actual telephone pole. He's got some real mature bucks around. All private farms don't hurt.
