I've been using the same bag for so long, can't remember what I used before I got it. Actually, think wife got it for me. Not a "gun bag" specifically, but is excellent for it's use. A large main compartment with 2 separate zippered compartments on the front of the bag, these compartments are 1/2 the length of the bag. Range key card, knife, chamber flags, wallet, phone, roll of tape, go in one pocket.
Other pocket has safety glasses, cleaning supplies ( cleaning rod, rags, oil, plastic bags for fired cases,
squib rod + ? Main bag has targets, pistols, ammo, ear muffs. small notebook + pen/pencil is kept somewhere. Has zipper closures on main bag & front pockets, 2 handle straps for carrying bag, + a shoulder strap, if its heavyier than I want to carry in my hand.
Midway had a range bag on sale, yrs. ago. Bought it & it's stayed in storage for future use. About the same size as my current bag, Made in a similar manner, w/ same pockets. Still waiting for my old bag to wear out. My current bag looks to be in like-new condition, despite yrs. of use. It might outlast me.
Asked wife if she remembered buying my "range bag"..she said she did. Found it @ the Salvation Army..She said she paid $5-$10 for it. I've used it for >25 yrs!
