Southeast Michigan gunstore

Schupbach's Sporting Goods. 141 W. Pearl St. Jackson, Michigan. Family owned - Great inventory of long guns, handguns, ammo, support equipment, On-duty gunsmith, etc. - friendly staff. Much better than most commercial LGS.

There are several in my area of S.E.Mi...or at least within 1/2 hr driving distance. Guns Galore in Fenton was a favorite, as well as Williams Gun Sight & Outfitter in Davison .. both have a good inventory of new firearms, + some used ones as well. There are smaller LGS closer to me, but they lack the large inventory, variety, & reloading components that these stores I've mentioned provide. My last several firearm purchases were either online, or used guns from this website..

Lots of used firearms posted there, many sellers are located close to my area, & all I've bought were in excellent / like new condition.

Many in my collection were purchased as used guns, and most of them were lightly used, if at all. A few were bought but never fired by purchaser.
I can also state that I've never had any issues from a used firearm I've bought..wish I could say the same for new guns.

Peacemakers in Howell is an excellent store and indoor range. Great selection of handguns and long guns, new and used. Tons of reloading supplies and equipment. Optics, parts, silencers, holsters, ammo... you name it.

Years ago, I went to Guns Galore to pick-up a Browning 7mm. The entire staff were complete a-holes. I swore I would never go back. But I did a couple years later. Same thing. I swore again that I would never go back there again. Haven't been back there since and never will.

Williams is a great place. Good selection, ranges, and to top notch gunsmithing. I had them put a muzzle brake on my .300 Weatherby Mag Mark V Accumark yeas ago. Outstanding job. You can't even see where the brake touches the barrel when it's screwed on.

Peacemakers is about a 20 min drive from my house. It is a pretty good place.

Then there's Range USA and Huron Valley, both on Grand River Ave. HV is in New Hudson and Range USA is in Novi (I think). Both are so-so in my opinion. Although, Huron Valley is quite impressive as far as the building itself goes.

Ann Arbor Arms on Jackson Rd. in AA is butthole of a place. I'd rather go to Rural King or Dunhams in Howell.

funny, that I've heard others say the same about Guns Galore..but I've never experienced rude / obnoxious behavior there, from any of the staff.. found a few nice used pistols there for a fair price. Honestly, it's been a few yrs. since I've visited there, or any gun store.. Nothing new I'm interest in & have more than I use already.

HV has a big selection but didn't impress me either. Kind of arrogant, yet not that knowledgeable, weird. Never been to AAArms or RangeUSA. I like the Howell Dunham's, but not a fan of Rural King. Similar experience years ago, with Guns Galore. There's a small gunsmith in Stockbridge, Ralph's Gunshop. My all-time favorite LGS. You just never know what Ralph has picked up. Worth a trip.

Williams Gun Shop south of Saginaw. Great customer service and a knowledgeable staff. Good selection of rifles, shotguns, and handguns.

is this Williams Gun Sight ? or a different place ? I used to visit & buy stuff @ Williams Gun Sight,
years ago . On my last visit there, they'd remodeled their building & when I went inside, it seemed they'd raised their prices like they were trying to pay off the remodel job, quickly. Don't think I've been back for another visit. I do like being able to view their used gun inventory online, w/o having to drive to the store to see what they have in stock.

No JP this is not Williams Gunsight located in Davison. This shop is located about 5 miles south of Saginaw on M-13. Actually located in Spaulding Township.
Like I said in my earlier post, it is a great shop to do business with. Great customer service. They also have a fair amount of used firearms. They have 2 gunsmiths on hand. It's just good old fashion Mom & Pop type of a store.

Ralph's near Stockbridge is great (fine dog); he's doing a huge restoration job for me. Also been to Peacemakers, had a half hour range lesson learning a new pistol and the instructor was superb.

Williams was good but haven't been there in years.
