Range Attire: What’s Really Appropriate?

I've been thinking about what to wear to the range lately. Not the tactical gear or anything, just normal clothes for a day of shooting. Anyone else pay attention to this?

I've noticed a lot of people in camo. Not sure why it sticks out to me, but it feels odd if you're just doing some drills or popping off a few rounds. Like, maybe save that for actual hunting? I dunno, it just seems like overkill if you're at the range.

I've been sticking to jeans, plain shirts, and good boots—pretty standard, right? It's comfy, safe (definitely no sandals), and doesn't broadcast that you're there to be all tactical. But am I missing something? Is there something else I should consider?

Just curious if anyone feels as confused as I do about this. What do you all wear when hitting the range?

Not confused @ all, but I understand your thoughts. The club where I shoot is very casual, " like me';)
Never been a clothes fanatic, I wear something clean, and w/o holes or tears in it.
I'm not trying to make a fashion statement @ the range ( or anywhere) so I wear "comfortable"
You'll shoot your best when you are comfortable, so let that be your guide.
If it's cooler I'll wear jeans or long pants & shirts. In summer, it's shorts & a t-shirt. Most @ my range wear similar attire.
Maybe the guys shooting the "action pistol" courses wear tacti-cool stuff, ..I'm not into that, and the only time I see camo wear is when deer season starts getting close.
