I'm curious about everyone's favorite shooting range. Is it the one you visit most often? What keeps you coming back there?

I belong to the West Branch Sportsmen's Cub in Marquette County. 400 Yard Rifle Range. Trap Range. Covered Pistol Range.
Only around 100 members.

For me, Marion Springs Conservation Club. Small community, rarely other shooters when I'm there to shoot. Descent Rifle range. The pistol range is being rejuvenated but the rifle range serves.

I belong to both the Detroit Sportsman's Congress in Utica, and Blue Water Sportsman's Association in Marysville. Each one has it's own merits. I recently moved and am now closer to Blue water. But DSC has more events that I participate in regularly.

Mine is Cadillac Sportsman's Club. Indoor shooting range (pistol range, small bore), outdoor pistol range, trap/skeet, rifle practice range with covered benches, 200, 300, 600 yard HP range (only for league/matches). CMP affiliate. Pistol and HP rifle matches. NRA and Michigan Conservation Club affiliated. Located between Cadillac and Lake City on M55.

I'm lucky, mine is the back of my property.
I used to think that I'd like to shoot in my back yard. Then I realized that I'd be broke…out of bullets/ammo/reloading materials, in about a week. Now, I have to drive 8 miles. That keeps me from reading about a technique or load and going out to see what I could do with it…
Lol
No seriously though, it would be very nice to be able to just open the door and be shooting in minutes. I'd have a nice "field" of steel targets, too.

I've been a member @ Oakland Co. Sportsman's club for well over 30 yrs., Moved back to Mi. from So.Calif. in '86 - 87? shot @ a public range 1 X.. then joined OCSC... Biggest attraction for me is their indoor pistol range is now open 24 hrs., access with a key card. As a retired PM & MN shift employee. I'm used to being up late. I head to the range about 11pm (or later). very little -no traffic, usually have the range to myself, & no traffic on the roads for my drive home. :giggle:

Alpena Sportsmen Club was my first in Michigan but, that was in the 80s. The next was Ionia not far from the prison. I helped construct a new addition in the 90, 2000. Almost joined Hastings club in 2009. See how long it's been since I pulled the trigger? Most favorite is the Ionia club. Could leave word and go shoot except in winter. Steve

Western Wayn County Gun Club is decent. But I have a 100-yard range set up behind my house so I can shoot whenever I want to. 😁

Thinking I've shot skeet there a Wayne, if there is a small body of water for the spent shot falls into, I am sure of it. Perfect about your personal range. Steve

WWCC is located on Napier Rd. south of 5 Mile Rd. (between 5 Mile Rd & North Territorial Rd.) in Plymouth Twp., if that helps jog your memory any.

Thank you for the compliment on my home range. I live about 8 miles due west of WWCC in Northfield Twp. (Washtenaw Co.). Dirt roads, corn and bean fields, woods. I am fortunate to live where I do.

I can shoot from inside my barn during inclement weather. If it's cold I just fire up the wood burner to stay warm.
