Years of hunting before, and my sleeping bag is getting old. So, I want to buy a new one. Any suggestions? Don't really know what is on the market atm.
Now that you say it, I am looking for a backpack bag too. So, both of them. Thermolite and Thinsulate? Oh it seems like the market really has changed a lot.I'd say more info is needed. Are you looking for a backpack bag or a deer camp bag ? They would be completely different bags. My mountain spike camp bag weighs 2-3lbs. Down fill mummy style. My UP deer camp bag weights 20 lbs and is rectangular 42"x92" filled with Thermolite and Thinsulate.
How long have you been using it? Any downsides?Go for the Kelty Cosmic 20 degree bag, synthetic fill packs small and holds warmth even if damp from hunting trips. Under 150 bucks and lasts years.
Sportsman's warehouse makes the big camp bag. Mine is a Gander Mountain and I also have a 44 magnum from Cabela's. Both great comfy box bags with tons of leg room. Now that you say it, I am looking for a backpack bag too. So, both of them. Thermolite and Thinsulate? Ok. I will have a look. I appreciate it. I am pretty tall, so you, the more leg room, the better.Sportsman's warehouse makes the big camp bag. Mine is a Gander Mountain and I also have a 44 magnum from Cabela's. Both great comfy box bags with tons of leg room.
Ya I think both the 44 mag and sportsman's warehouse bags are made for bigger guys (Gals)Ok. I will have a look. I appreciate it. I am pretty tall, so you, the more leg room, the better.
I have a Gander Mountain -40 Camp bag that's the canvas rectangular 42x92 and super warm. Arctic -40 is the stitched name on the bag. Never seen -40 but works great when the wood stove goes out in the tent and it's 20 outside. Toasty warm inside. I own a Cabela's 44 Mag rectangular also. Only know people that have used the Sportsman's warehouse bags and they like them as well.Sounds like you've tried a wide range. Appreciate it.
