I prefer public land

Private land often involves coordination and obligations and public land requires more effort physically but it is always available if you are willing to work for it. That tradeoff is part of what I like about it.

Except for the Anti's, thieves, and inconsiderate hack hunters, I suppose hunting public land isn't so bad if that's all you have. I did the private land thing for years until I'm now able to hunt private land. I will take private over public land any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

That's not necessarily true. You still have to put in your work and know where, when, and how the deer move on private land as well as on public land. Just because you're hunting private land doesn't mean the deer walk right up to you. You, as a hunter, still need to know what you're doing and do everything right to bag a deer.

I absolutely agree, private land isn’t a shortcut. you still need skill, patience and a good understanding of deer behavior to succeed.
