Incredibly Accurate

Several years ago I purchased a .22cal air rifle and have been very, very impressed with its accuracy. At 50 yards, I can put 5+ shots into a dime size bullseye. It has become my go to rifle for critters around the property, namely ground hogs, red squirrels, and muskrats. I always have it with me when I'm out and about on the side-by-side. For the money, I'm really happy with my purchase and it was under $300 (on sale at that time) for the rifle. The rifle is the Gamo Urban .22 caliber rifle. Oh yeah, it's also pretty quiet with its built in suppressor.
Now, I'd like to up my game. I'm looking for a little bit longer range firestick. I really appreciate and rely on the Gamo accuracy and want to find a rimfire rifle in either .22 cal., .17 HMR, or .22Mag with similar traits; accurate and quiet. I've been looking at the Bergara BMR-X Carbon. The barrel is threaded and I'd want to put a suppressor on it. The price for the rifle is roughly $700. I'm looking for recomendations and suggestions from this group. What is your favorite ACCURATE rimfire rifle without breaking the bank? What caliber would you suggest for taking down those critters out to 100+ yards. And for the neighbors sake, I want to be stealthy when shooting.
Regards, CLS.

Checkout the CZ's and Tikka's. But you can't go wrong with a CZ.

I don't run a suppressed rifle. I have no need to, really. But if you're looking to go after mid-sized varmints like racoon, ground hog, fox, etc., I'd go .17HMR all day long over a .22LR. or .22WMR.

My favorite ACCURATE rimfire is my KIDD 10-22 in a KRG Bravo stock. But it's more of a bench rifle than a humping it through the woods squirrel rifle. For varmint control I go to my Ruger M77 with a 20" .920 GM SS Fluted .17HMR barrel that I put on it years ago (it's actually a .22WMR from the factory). I did install a Volquartsen Target Sear and Spring in it. Sub MOA all day long with Hornady 17 gr. V-Max ammo.

Yep the 17 is the king of rimfires whether it's the HMR or Winchester magnum version. They can be suppressed also for ultimate noise reduction. I don't suppress mine but people really love using suppressors on the rimfires. Mine is a tack driver as well and shoots all manufacturers ammunition in small dime size holes at 100 yards.(No wind).

Exactly. Anywhere around 100 yds +/- a few yards either way, and medium size varmints don't stand a chance. If I'm after anything bigger, like coyote, I'll use my .223 Remington R-15 VTR Predator rifle.

238 yards on this one.
