Curious what folks think about keeping ramen in the prep stash. I know it’s not exactly nutrient-dense, but it’s cheap, filling, and lasts a while.

I’ve got a few cases stored away, but I’m wondering how long they really last past the date. Also — is there a better way to store them than just keeping the packs in the box?

Anyone rotate ramen regularly or have tricks to make it a little more useful in a long-term situation? They seem to last longer than their expiration date.

Yes. I still have some packs that are five years past date, and they taste the same. If you want to stretch them, add a spoon of peanut butter or an egg when you cook. Turns it from salty noodles into something that sticks with you.

Yeah, ramen's good for a prep stash, it is cheap, lightweight, and lasts way past the printed date if stored cool and dry. I keep mine in airtight tubs or buckets with desiccant packs. Rotating every couple years keeps it fresh, and you can always boost nutrition with canned veggies or protein
