might help if you gave your location.., my gun guru is Doug Jones., he's in Rochester Hills.
https://acc-u-rail.com/
Doesn't really advertise, known for the Acc-u-rail process for 1911's, here's a quote from someone about his work:
"I have a COLT GCNM that has Doug's AccuRails. I had another Colt that had them. Both of these guns shoot like lasers and are butter smooth.
The entire gun needs to go out for fitting. The frame as well as the slide need to cut for the AcuraRail"
a link to post sabout his work :

Doug's done pistol & rifle trigger work for me , installed sights, fit barrels, done more stuff than I can remember, for my friends as well.
All kinds of repairs & also builds custom 1911's for competition. Even fixed a friend's shotgun. Always modifying someone's "race guns"
As I live close by his shop, I stop in about monthly to say hello & see what he's doing.. Often it's an old, odd firearm some one wants fixed.
I've seen some real unusual firearms there, watched him fabricate parts to get them to work. I've taken pics of a few of them I found interesting.
Hard to find anyone better, IMO
