I just came across this picture that brought back memories.

It had to be in the late 70's. A couple of buddies of mine thought it was a good idea hop the fence at a local turkey farm under the cover of darkness on Thanksgiving Eve, turkey-nap a live bird and toss it in my Camero that was parked in the road in front of my house. I'm pretty sure alcohol was involved in their decision making. I remember my youngest brother coming in my bedroom on Thanksgiving morning and telling me that there's a turkey in my car. Ok, I'm thinking like a frozen Butterball turkey. I walk out to my car and .... Surprise! A live turkey that spent the night pooping all over the interior and all over my hockey equipment bag that was in the rear seat. A neighbor said that he'd take the bird, so I gave it to him. I spent the next few hours cleaning up the mess. Good times....... LOL

That’s both funny and a bit painful! It definitely sounds like one of those ideas that only seems smart after a few drinks late at night. I can’t imagine stepping outside, expecting a regular Thanksgiving turkey and instead finding a live one just staring at me. And of course, it had to spend the night turning your car and hockey bag into a total mess. That’s rough! Those are the stories that feel miserable in the moment but turn into pure comedy years later. At least the neighbor took the turkey even if you were stuck with the cleanup. Classic late 70s decisionmaking right there! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Oh yeah, there was definitely alcohol involved. I got him back, though. He had a '68 Mustang drop-top with a 289 Hypo. I smeared an entire jar of catfish cheese bait all over his engine block and manifold a few days later. We're still friends to this day and laugh about the good times we had.
