If you had to narrow down your ammo shelf to just your most-used calibers, which ones would you keep? I’m not talking about those quirky rounds or guns that are more for show, just the calibers you train with regularly. Share what platforms you use, how often you hit the range, and what functions they serve for you.

I have three that come to mind. 22LR bolt action for small game and plinking. 270 WSM bolt action for varmints up to large game with correct bullets. 50 caliber break open muzzleloader for hunting deer in southern MI and extending my time afield. I go to the range as often as possible. Since I'm retired It's definitely more often.

Too many to mention. I guess if I HAD to narrow them down it would have to be 9mm, .22LR, 5.56/.223 and .30-06 Springfield. And might as well throw 12 ga. in the mix, too.

EDC, hunting, plinking/target. When the mood hits me, I just set up my bench/targets (paper & steel/shooting tree) behind my house and start throwing lead. In the summertime a couple of buddies and I will bullseye shoot with our 'specialty built' .22's one a week. Trigger time is trigger time regardless of the caliber!

I tried juggling a bunch of calibers and ended up with a mess. I now stick to a few and actually get consistent with them.

I have quite a few different calibers, but I shoot more 22LR ammo than any other, but I did buy 5 boxes of Remington 360 Buckhammer ammo the other day.

Once shot up, it gives me 100 rounds of brass to reload, and that easily will last me the rest of my life. All I'll be doing with that rifle after sight in, is shooting a deer a two with it every year..
