Yeah I should have mentioned that Blue Water goes out to 600 and DSC is 200 max.Howell Gun Club. 100-500yd range there is pretty nice.
I used to think that I'd like to shoot in my back yard. Then I realized that I'd be broke…out of bullets/ammo/reloading materials, in about a week. Now, I have to drive 8 miles. That keeps me from reading about a technique or load and going out to see what I could do with it…I'm lucky, mine is the back of my property.
I'm not so sure about that. As long as you have a sufficient backstop and zoning doesn't change, you should stay legal. Neighbors don't HAVE to like it.I maintain 100 and 50-yard ranges on my property with gongs, dueling trees, etc.. We've lived rural for 35 years, surrounded by farmland. Everyone in our area seems to shoot. Unfortunately, subdivisions are going up like weeds around us and the family which owns multiple parcels surrounding our land has just scheduled an auction day. The senior members are deceased/incapacitated and their survivors do not hunt or farm. I might be shut down, soon.
