I was going to replace an Old Scope on a Rifle the Old 1 when bore sighted had the grid close to center yet when I replaced it with a new one the Grid was far off to the right of the grid and I could not adjust the Windage Turret to the left as It ran out of Adjustment. How can 1 scope dial right in and a "new" Scope can't? Using the same Scope Mount Bases and Rings yet so different? I have used the same brand Scope of other Rifles and they were simple to get centered on the bore sight tool grid yet this newer version of the same scope is not able to? Has the technology changed on new scopes that much? Some suggest it is the Bases others say it is the holes on the barrel are miss align but if 1 can be adjusted why can't another by just replacing the scope? (Same Rings and Same Bases only removed the top section of the ring yet ran out of Windage Adjustment to get it centered)?
Never had this before.
Any Ideas - hate spending $ on a new Brand Base or Bases if 1 scope works why not a new 1?
Thanks
